Hailing from the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York, Kristie L. Gotwald moved to Ohio in 2007 to study at Cedarville University, where she completed her four-year degree in just two and a half years. She then spent the next several years moving around the country as a military spouse, earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2012, and is licensed to practice in Oklahoma, New York, and Ohio.
Gotwald has experience in both civil and criminal law, representing youths in juvenile drug court and felons in both theft offenses and drug charges. While in Oklahoma she helped defend Airman with the JAG Area Defense Counsel and assisted with the prosecution of attorney ethics violations at the Oklahoma Bar Association. She is a member of the Ohio Bar Association and has experience in Workers Compensation, OSHA, employment law, and discrimination.
Aside from law, she is very involved in her community, serving on a zoning appeals board, working as a coordinator for local youth programs, and volunteering with her local church
